AEA HP Max MK2 – Semi-Auto Upgradable PCP Air Rifle
The AEA HP Max MK2 is a powerful PCP air rifle designed for shooters who want a robust, high-performance platform with the flexibility to upgrade. Out of the box, it operates as a straight-pull manual repeater, while being built with the potential to be converted to a fully functioning semi-auto system once the official upgrade kit becomes available.
Available in .25, .30 and .35 calibers, the HP Max MK2 offers solid power, practical handling, and a compact configuration suitable for experienced airgun users looking for performance and upgrade potential.
Semi-Auto Upgrade Information
The HP Max MK2 is supplied as a manual repeater.
To prepare the HP Max MK2 for semi-auto operation, the upgrade will require:
- Loading spring installation: Add the specific loading spring designed for semi-auto cycling.
- Heavy-pull loading levers: Replace the current loading levers with the heavy-pull version on both the left and right sides.
- Regulator adjustment: Set the regulator pressure between 130 and 180 BAR for reliable cycling.

Note: AEA semi-auto airguns require at least a 30 joule configuration to cycle properly. When configured below 30 joules, the rifle must be operated manually after each shot.

Important Legal & Power Configuration Notice
Semi-auto functionality depends on the correct power configuration and the official upgrade components. When set below 30 joules, the rifle will not cycle as semi-auto and must be used as a manual repeater. Always check your local regulations before purchasing or configuring this product.
AEA semi auto airguns require at least a 30 Joules configuration to cycle and effectively become semi-auto airguns.
When set to a lower power, these airguns cannot function in semi-auto and require the user to manually operate the bolt after each shot.
For this reason, when set to < 30Joules, AEA airguns that would normally be semi-auto become repeater airguns. This makes them legal under UK standards.
